About Sarah Whittaker
Personal Profile
Sarah Whittaker, called "The Wardrobe Shrink" by The Times newspaper (London), is the founder of Insideout, which helps people design a personal way of dress and style that reflects them from the inside out.
Sarah has a passion for helping others realise their style potential, and can work with you to help define and reveal yours. Sarah’s empathic approach along with her intuitive nature allows her to identify a person’s image quickly and to work with them according to their personal needs. "When people first walk in the door, often they start by telling me everything that they want to fix. Usually it is not a case of ‘fixing’, but more of a 'service' that is long overdue — time to give themself the personal attention they need and deserve, time to look in the mirror and really see what is there".
Sarah has a particular interest in working with women and helping them cultivate better self-esteem. For her it is more than just what you are wearing and your personal image, it’s about how you relate to yourself, your self-talk and the opportunities you allow yourself to have. "There is absolutely no reason why you can’t achieve what you absolutely want in life. Your image gives you your individual tools for being who you are and what you want to be, in effect you are already built for it! It is only a question of opening up to yourself and activating you – self-activation!"
Sarah Whittaker’s goal is to work with women from all cornersof the world, through her web/phone consultations, seminars and via the opportunities of media and publishing.
Sarah - a Brit - set up her business in London, and now lives in Georgia, USA. Her educational background is in Public Relations and Business & Marketing, and she worked in the corporate IT industry in client management. She spent her youth experimenting with her own designs and making her own clothes, and so today the "The Wardrobe Shrink" is a natural extension of her innate interests and skills.
Sarah has been working for herself in this field for over 10 years and her philosophy and 'Image Type' system organically developed from her work with women.
Sarah has been featured in many publications world wide, including: Psychology Today, The Sunday Times Style Magazine, The Times T2, Marie Claire, Heat magazine, The Independent, Quote Magazine, and NCR Handelsblad. Sarah has worked with international brands, such as: L'Oreal Paris, Anne French, Pearl Drops, Pantene, Timotei, Marks & Spencer.
